1. Add effects (video, audio, pictures, transitions) - for the visually impaired student, adding audio will help because they can record their voice and use sound instead of having to type.

2. Students can use microphones to record information about their families, or they could interview their family members and add it to the presentation.  Students could also use a scanner to scan in pictures or their family members or drawings they made of their family members.

3.  Students would become more engaged in the project because they are able to use their own creativity by adding audio and pictures.  The project is also interactive.

4. Planning - Teacher needs to be trained on how to use scanner and microphones.  Also, an example of a finished product to show the teacher.  A template of the PowerPoint presentation along with a tutorial of PowerPoint.

Implementing - The MTT will help the teacher create her own family tree.

Evaluating - Using the teacher's final product the MTT will evaluate the teacher's use of technology.

5. History class - making a timeline using the presentation software

Presentation software like PowerPoint can be used with many different grade levels to create projects.
