Hello. My name is Jessica Marie Sanchez and this is my first semester in the MEd Tech program. I work at the University of Texas-Pan American as an Instructional Developer. My interests lie in making sure that the courses I place up for faculty online are designed well and incorporate technology that can enhance the students experience. I am Leon Hudson. I am a firefighter with the Austin Fire Department in Austin, Texas. This is my first semester in the Ed Tech program. I graduated from St Edward's University, Austin with a BA in Criminal Justice in 1988. My plan is to assist the AFD training division by taking the current online continuing education program and transform it into a robust and an information filled source of quality training and continuing education for leadership, fire and emergency medical skills. I retire from AFD in a few years and will move into the adult education/continuing education field either in business or academia. Let's have a fun semester!

Hello everyone my name is Delia Villarreal. I am a first grade teacher in Brownsville ISD. This is my fifth year teaching first grade. I started taking courses in the Educational Technology program in summer session II 2007. I have had great experiences in the courses that I have taken. I find the courses very helpful and interesting. I have decided to get the masters in technology teacher. I think that this will be a great way for me to help promote the incorporation of technology in the classroom. This will also allow me to work with other teachers and share with them what I have been trained on. I am very happy to be here and I am looking forward to working with all of you.

Hi, my name is Marie Garza. This is my first online class and I am trying my best to not get lost. Thanks to Dr. Butler/s help and quick respones to my almost everyday questions, I am catching up. I was born and raised in Lima the capital of Peru. October 1976 I moved to Washington D.C. and worked as an interpreter for the Organization of American States until I got married and moved to Texas. In 1995 I moved from the Dallas area to Harlingen and I have been teaching at Harlingen High School South since then. My husband Juan just retired 2 years ago from teaching Biology and coaching football and soccer and is enjoying doing nature photography. I have 3 wonderful children: Monica (27), Wesley (25) and Marissa (16). I have visited a few interesting places in the world, like Machu Picchu in the high Andes Mountains of Peru. Some of my wants are: to continue to grow spiritually, making healthy decisions about exercising and food, reading Spanish Literature, travel to more interesting places in the world (Rome, Italy) and with God's help live a peacefully, healthy life. My email is . Hope to be able to meet some of you soon. |
