This is going to be a phenomenal semester and I can hardly wait to begin. We have many exciting activities planned, including an online scavenger hunt and an online library murder mystery. The UTB librarian and I have been "plotting" the demise of one Simon P. Ano - and you are going to play cyber detective to find the culprit. In addition, we will have a number of excellent guest speakers, including at least one of the authors of your textbook. It will be a fast-pased and exciting semester. Here's hoping you learn volumes and have fun doing it.

I look forward to hearing all of you in Wimba.

My name is Michael (Mike) Brown and I am already excited about this class and what we are going to experience together over the next few months. I am retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (Texas' prison system) and have a background in criminal justice.I graduated from UTA with a BA in Criminology. I have worked as a consultant to agencies, businesses, and churches in the past and have a desire to help others be successful. I entered the M.Ed. in Educational Technology program because of my interest in helping people learn in the most effective way possible. I am scheduled to graduate from this program in May of this year.

I have a beautiful wife of 35 years, 6 kids (all grown) and a bunch of grandkids. I also am the Associate Pastor of a local congregation here in Snyder, Texas where I live. I recognize many of you as my former classmates over the past two years and I am anticipating getting to know many of you better and meeting some of you for the first time. The course syllabus looks really interesting and I am ready to go!

My name is Evangelina Guillen but you can call me Eva.  I am a teacher at Faulk Middle School.  I teach 7th grade math.  I recently received a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I would like to learn more about using technology in the classroom and that is why I am taking this class.  This is my second class in the MTT program.

On the personal side I have a wonderful, supportive husband, and two beautiful kids who love chess. I am looking forward to working with you all in class and I am ready to learn new things about technology.

Lets have a great semester get in contact if need help.

Hola a todos y cada uno de ustedes!!!

My name is Fabian Salcedo from Brownsville, Texas 78526. Here I am with my baby Sebastian who is now 6 months old. I have gained some weight and believe it is all because of him! I am a Technology Teacher at a local elementary and just love my job. I hope some day to help teachers but in a district level as I feel I can be good at it. Please feel free to contact me if you need any help with school and non school issues. I am always willing to help out! I am brand new at this but hope to get good at it soon. Take care!

My name is Aide Gonzalez.  I have been living in Brownsville, Texas for the past 22 years.  Currently, I am working with BISD as a Health Science Technology teacher.  My first experience with on-line education was with my bachelors degree from UTB and I really enjoyed the classes.  The convenience of being at home and taking care of your kids while working on your education is amazing.  I can only imagine where distance learning is going to take us.  I am especially interested in an M.Ed in Technology and MTT certificate because there are a few trained teachers in our district.  Unfournately, many teachers feel intimidated by technology and this is where I feel I can make a difference.
